Sage Lakes Municipal Golf Course is a Public 18 hole golf course located in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Sage Lakes Municipal Golf Course first opened for play in 1993. The course was designed by William H. Neff.
Sage Lakes is a links-style course that has many large grass bunkers. The undulating fairways are mounded, so expect many uneven lies. The fairways are rolling at times and will take a good drive and send it where it wants to. There is water to work around on 12 of the holes. The greens are moderately contoured and medium in size. Sage Lakes is a Championship golf course which is a test for the scratch golfer and fair to avid and beginning golfers.
Par for the course is 70. From the back tees the course plays to 6738 yards. From the forward tees the course measures 5068 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 16, a par-5 that plays to 575 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 180 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 4, a 456 yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at Sage Lakes Municipal Golf Course is # 13, a 383 yard par-4.

fancy course surrounded by nice homes and we get stuck behind a bunch of drunk rednecks. watched another group of drunks pick up my ball and then deny doing it. talked to the golf shop pro who didn't care. go play the other courses in the area, avoid this one.

One of three municipal courses of exceptional value and all are great for the $20 or so fee.
